Is there a Zebra Android app?
There is no released native Zebra Android app at the time this guide was updated. The website's Android waitlist is for a future release, not an APK download. The iOS App Store listing is for Apple devices and cannot be installed on Android.
The web editor is available now. It gives Android users a way to use the photo tools directly in the browser, without waiting for the native release. It is not a promise of complete feature parity between the website and the iOS app: use the tool pages to check the capabilities you need.
Edit a photo on an Android phone
- Open the website. Visit zebra.tg in your usual modern browser. Choose your language if needed.
- Choose the task. Open Crop to reframe a photo, Filters for color, Collage for several pictures or Draw with Text for lettering.
- Select the original photo. Use the file picker offered by the browser. Prefer the original camera file over a screenshot when you want to keep detail.
- Adjust the edit. Work with one effect or a simple layout first. Inspect the preview before adding several layers or replacing the original.
- Download the result. Use the tool's save control and check your browser's downloads. Keep the original photo as a separate file.
The exact file picker and download location depend on your Android browser and its settings. A downloaded result may be in Downloads before it appears in the gallery. If you cannot find it, check the browser's download list before repeating the export.
Which tools should you start with?
| Your goal | Tool |
|---|---|
| Fit a photo to a square or portrait frame | Crop |
| Put several photos in one layout | Collage |
| Change colors and mood | Filters |
| Make a circular or spiral caption | Draw with Text |
| Separate a person or product from its background | Remove Background |
| Reduce the size of a picture file | Compress Image |
For a cutout you will reuse in a design, see the transparent PNG guide. For lettering around a portrait, see curved and spiral text.
Free access, Premium and coins
Core editing is available free with usage limits. The editor shows the current quota and export choices. HD background removal has a limited trial after sign-in; Premium provides a larger HD quota. The editor shows current access and export options. See Premium. Avoid treating “free” as unlimited processing of any number of files.
Premium is shared between the website and the iOS app when you sign in with the same email. On Android you use the website. Check the price and billing period shown at checkout rather than relying on an old screenshot or a price quoted for another region.
AI art and AI video require sign-in and coins. An image generation costs 0.5 coin; a video costs 5–10 coins depending on the template. Coins are separate from Premium, and the template shows the applicable cost before generation.
Do photos stay on the phone?
Several tools, including cropping, filters, collages, image compression and regular text rendering, perform the image edit locally in the browser. Background removal, AI images, AI videos and PDF compression use server or cloud processing.
The optional text-behind-subject effect also creates a cutout through cloud background removal. A tool being presented as a browser page does not mean every one of its features runs locally. Review the privacy policy before working with a photo or document whose processing location matters.
If the editor is slow or a download is missing
Large camera images and layouts with many photos can use substantial memory on a phone. Start with one image, close unused tabs if needed and avoid repeatedly exporting the same large composition. If you reduce the source dimensions, preserve the original elsewhere first.
If you opened Zebra inside another app's built-in browser and saving does not behave as expected, open the same tool in your usual browser. Check the Downloads list and any browser message about the export. Do not assume the file disappeared merely because it has not appeared in the gallery yet.
For a problem you can reproduce, contact the developer with the tool name, browser and a description of what happened. You do not need to send a private original photo to explain that a button or download failed.
