Plain-English summary of what Zebra does with your data. Last updated April 2026.

Who runs this site

Zebra is an independent product by Dmitriy Biserov, an individual developer. Contact: code@zebra.tg.

What we collect

  • Error telemetry — we use Sentry to capture JavaScript exceptions so we can fix crashes. Sentry receives a stack trace, the URL, and your browser user-agent. We do not send your photos to Sentry.
  • Aggregate analytics — we use Yandex.Metrika to count page views and see which tools are popular. No personal profiles are built and no data is sold to advertisers.
  • Account data — if you sign in, we store your email and a session token. That’s it. We never ask for a password.
  • Abuse prevention — a browser fingerprint hash and your IP are briefly kept to enforce daily free-tier limits. These are not linked to advertising.

No third-party trackers, ad networks, or session recorders beyond Sentry (errors) and Yandex.Metrika (page counts).

How photo uploads are handled

When you use the Remove Background tool, your image is sent to our server and forwarded to Replicate (a third-party AI platform) for processing. The output PNG is cached on our server for up to one hour so you can download it, and is then permanently deleted.

  • We do not keep your uploads after processing.
  • We do not use your uploads to train any AI model.
  • Tools that run entirely in your browser (Blur, Darken, Grain, Filter, Bubble, Crop) never upload your image anywhere. The original pixels never leave your device.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in and remember your language preference. We do not use tracking cookies, marketing cookies, or third-party advertising cookies.

Your rights (GDPR / global)

If you are in the EU/EEA, UK, or anywhere else with comparable privacy law, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your data. Email code@zebra.tg from the address on your account and we will action the request within a reasonable time (typically a few business days).

Children

Zebra is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
